Graz offers plenty of options for both partying and relaxing. Whether you want to dive into the nightlife after a long day at university or just enjoy a casual drink, there is something for everyone.
A popular hotspot is the "Uni-Viertel" around Karl-Franzens-University, where bars, cafés, and restaurants line the streets. If you're into electronic music, Postgarage or Club Wakuum are the places to be - local and international acts regularly take the stage here. A well-known spot for affordable drinks and a relaxed vibe is Brot & Spiele, especially popular with students. In summer, people love meeting in Stadtpark or on the Murwiesen to relax together or enjoy an after-work drink. For stylish breakfasts or coffee, favorites among Graz students include Tribeka, Kaffee Weitzer, and Duck's Coffee Shop. A little insider tip is Famoos, conventiently located near the university.

As a student in Graz, you can often enjoy the city's cultural offerings at reduced prices. Many cinemas - such as Schubertkino or Rechbauerkino - offer discounted tickets for students. Museum like the Universalmuseum Joanneum or Kunsthaus Graz also provide reduced entry when you show your student ID.
